The Microbiology Department was founded in 1993. The first batch of B.Sc. (Microbiology) students began in the summer of 1995, with seven students. The M.Sc. (Microbiology) programme began in 1999. In 2004, the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes were introduced. Today, the number of students enrolled in B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes has grown to over 400. For more details click here
