- The Department got State level Best Program Officer Award in National Service Scheme from Government of Gujarat, 2014-15
- The Department got National level Best Program Officer Award in National Service Scheme from Government of India, 2015-16
- The Department got Best NSS activity in National Service Scheme from Government of India, which was done in Nepal such as Nepal earthquake relief activity, 2015-16
- The Department got three International best poster presentation award in International Seminar which was organized by International Science Congress Association ISCA 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2017-18
- The department got bronze medal in All India Inter university Boys Target ball Competition, 2018-19
- The department got Silver and bronze medal in All India Inter university Boys and Girls Target ball Competition, 2019- 20
- The Department has organized All India and West Zone Inter University Kho- Kho Women and got forth place in west zone tournament in 2017-18
- Organized National Level Volleyball Referee Examination by Gujarat State Volleyball Association (SGVA), Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) At Sadra, Gujarat Vidyapith, 5-11-2015 to 10-11-2015.
- The faculties of the department published 56 research papers in national level journal, 69 research papers in international national level journal, produced 23 ph.d degree, 13 books published in local and national publication, 18 chapters edited in various books which is published by local and national level publications, edited 6 books which is published by Gujarat text book association and 31 lectures delivered in local, state, national and international level programs
- The Department has organized National Level workshop in 2008 in the field of Physical Education and Sports.
- The Department has organized South and West Zone Inter University Handball tournament in 1998.
- The Department has again organized South and West Zone Inter University Handball tournament in 2000.
- The Department has organized West Zone Inter university Kabaddi tournament in 2004.
- The Department has organized 19th Annual general meeting of inter university sports board of India in 2008.
- Department four students have participated in international Yoga and Handball tournament in 2007 and one student achieve Gold Medal in this tournament.
- The Department has organized Refresher Courses in1999 and 2003 in the field of Physical Education and Sports.
- The Department has organized National Level seminars in1999 in the field of Physical Education and Sports.

- The Department has organized National Integration Camp of 58 universities and 1500 students of all over India in 1989.
- The Department has organized various earthquake and flood relief Camp such as Nepal earthquake relief camp in lubhu, lalitpur, Nepal, Babapur – Amreli flood relief camp in Amreli, Gujarat and Thara flood relief camp in Banaskantha, Gujarat.
