Gujarat Vidyapith Museum (Sangrahalay)
Established in 2003, the Gujarat Vidyapith Museum (Sangrahalay) is located within the premises of the Pranjivan Vidyarthi Bhawan. This museum is divided into two distinctive sections: the Gujarat Vidyapith Museum and the Morarji Desai Smriti Kendra.
The Gujarat Vidyapith Museum serves as a repository of the rich history and heritage of the institution, presented across three sections. The initial section showcases a variety of artifacts including the emblem of Gujarat Vidyapith, the foundational brick, the Gujarat Vidyapith resolution, as well as rare photographs featuring Vice Chancellors of Gujarat Vidyapith, Gandhiji, and other esteemed dignitaries. The second section showcases the traditional graduation ceremonies of Gujarat Vidyapith from 1922 onwards, contains the essence of these events through information and images. The third section provides insights into the educational and extension endeavors of the institutions and departments under Gujarat Vidyapith, shedding light on the contributions of Gram Shilpis associated with the Gram Shilpi Yojana.
A distinctive feature of the Gujarat Vidyapith Museum is its exhibition chart gallery. This gallery hosts a collection of charts displaying the year’s activities undertaken by various campuses, departments, village service centers, and agricultural science centers of Gujarat Vidyapith. Thus, every visitor to the Gujarat Vidyapith Museum gains an immersive understanding of the ongoing endeavors across the institution’s diverse departments and premises.
